Put your overlay on stream.

Keep this guide open beside your streaming software.

1080 × 1920Portrait browser source

Before you start: open an overlay in your studio, test it with demo events, then publish it to get your browser-source URL.

Open overlays

Add a browser source

  1. Copy your overlay URL

Use the copy control in the studio. Keep the complete link.

  2. Add a browser source

In your streaming software, add a web or browser source and paste the URL.

  3. Set the canvas size

Use 1080 px wide × 1920 px high. Position it above your camera or game capture.

  4. Send a test event

Check that the animation appears in your streaming preview before you go LIVE.

Audio: no sound or hearing it twice?

Check browser-source audio

Enable audio for overlays or automations that use sound. Send one test event and check the level in your streaming mixer. If you hear it twice, check whether both monitoring and desktop audio are capturing the same source.

Troubleshooting: blank, cropped or not reacting?

Test, then troubleshoot

Nothing appears
Check the complete URL, refresh the browser source and send a test event. An event alert may be empty between events.
The overlay is cropped
Reset the browser source to 1080 × 1920, then resize it inside your scene.
The animation is stuck
Refresh the source cache and replay a test event.
Tests work, LIVE events do not
Check that the selected streamer is live and review the connection in Live Setup.

Menus and browser-source support vary between streaming apps and versions. These steps describe the common browser-source workflow.

Keep your browser-source URL private

Treat the URL like a secret

The link gives access to your overlay. Do not include it in chat, screenshots or shared scene collections. If exposed, choose Rotate token in the overlay’s controls, then replace the URL in your streaming software. The old link stops working immediately.

Copy directly from the studio. Do not reconstruct or shorten the link.
